He's going, going, GONE!!!

AdrianThe Padres have traded their best player, Adrian Gonzalez, to the Boston Red Sox for a bunch of prospects.

How are the Padres going to compete in the competitive National League West in 2011?

Gonzalez was all smiles after signing with his new team.

Lorem ipsum

(This is a web design class. More baseball content comes later...)

So here's some lorem ipsum to fill the space for now.....

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Nulla suscipit nisi nec dui ultricies at volutpat lacus gravida. Nulla lobortis metus non lorem consectetur a varius leo laoreet. Duis dictum ligula in sem gravida at adipiscing sem ullamcorper. Phasellus pellentesque enim at nunc ullamcorper laoreet. Sed et libero in metus luctus tincidunt. Mauris bibendum, magna ac ullamcorper elementum, lorem tortor fringilla neque, egestas tempus lectus felis a lectus. Donec in tellus leo. Praesent eget nulla nunc, ac porttitor eros. Proin imperdiet mollis urna, ac dapibus sapien condimentum quis. Sed aliquam mauris vel diam interdum fringilla. Sed bibendum enim vitae massa bibendum tincidunt. David Eckstein bobblehead
David Eckstein was a fan favorite for many Padres, Angels and Cardinals fans. Apparently, 2010 with the Padres was his last season in Major League Baseball. He's not with a team right now.
Eckstein joins a select few of shortstops to win a World Series in both the National League and American League. He was with the Anaheim Angels when they beat Barry Bonds and the San Francisco Giants in 2002.
He was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2006 World Series when he was with the St. Louis Cardinals. He was also a two-time All-Star before joining the San Diego Padres.
A lot of general managers considered him too small for baseball, but his lofty achievments speak volumes. He's truly an inspirational player.

More Lorem ipsum

Lorem ipsum is used by designers to fill space. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Nulla suscipit nisi nec dui ultricies at volutpat lacus gravida. Nulla lobortis metus non lorem consectetur a varius leo laoreet. Duis dictum ligula in sem gravida at adipiscing sem ullamcorper.Nulla lobortis metus non lorem consectetur a varius leo laoreet. ... Blah, blah, blah, and more blah blah blah. Blah, blah fills space just as wll as Lorem Ipsum. So let's end this with more blah, blah, blah.
